Simply Sharing!

This is the Yoga series I use to begin my mornings. It is calm, quiet, soothing, relaxing, yet at the same time, energizing. The instructor, Sara Ivanhoe, is pretty much my favourite instructor when it comes to Yoga DVDs, and trust me, I’ve tried my fair share. Her energizer session is perfect for the morning – short and sweet. Also included in this DVD is an evening session, a perfect way to end your day, if you have the time. Sara is highly knowledgeable when it comes to Yoga, provides excellent guidance, and she has a very soothing voice which is very important when you’re just waking up!

I literally just discovered this, and immediately wanted to share it! I’m one of those people who is completely overwhelmed by too much “stuff,” and that includes websites full of everything under the sun. This little gadget takes away all of the extras, and leaves you with a clean, clutter-free piece of writing to read. Just scroll down to the bottom of this page to the word “clippable,” drag it to your bookmarks bar, and voila! If you find there’s too much madness on a particular webpage, just click on “clippable” in your bookmarks bar, and it’ll take away all of the gravy, and leave you with just the meat and potatoes. Clean, simple reading. Enjoy!

I really feel like I just hit the Jackpot with this one. This website offers all kinds of goodies – for free! You’ll find Beginner to Advanced full-length videos on Yoga, Pilates, Yoga for seniors, Yoga breathing, Yoga anatomy, and meditation, to name just a few. If you are just beginning to explore the world of Yoga and meditation, this would be a perfect place to start, all at no cost to you (everything is 100% free). Even for the intermediate and advanced though, it’s a goldmine! There’s a search option to choose the length of time you have to practice Yoga (10 min-60+), the type of Yoga you would like to do, your difficulty level, and once you become familiar with the instructors, you can even narrow it down to your favourite. One of the key foundations of meditation and its philosophy is giving back, and this website does exactly that. Visit Do Yoga With Me, and enjoy!

If you’ve read Our Stories , you know that meditation plays a pretty big role in our lives. If it’s something you have never tried personally, it’s definitely worth a visit. I first ventured into meditation by participating in Deepak Chopra’s 21-Day Meditation Challenge. Needless to say, after those 21 days, I was hooked. The summer challenge just recently ended, but another challenge, Creating Abundance, begins in October. It’s free to sign up and participate in, just click here (scroll down to the bottom of the page to “please sign up here”). You can enjoy 24 free meditation podcasts here.

Another free meditation series that I’m very fond of was discovered through a random internet search, and what a find it was. It’s a free meditation podcast series offered by Jessie and Jeane Stern. If you have trouble “turning off” your mind before bed, I highly recommend the Falling Asleep episode. There is a total of 20 different episodes, each with a unique focus (positive thoughts, peace, money, to list just a few), and you’re bound to find at least one that could be of personal benefit to you. Simply visit Meditation Podcast, click on the episode you would like, and download it for free on iTunes. If you need any technical support, feel free to post your questions here.

Meditation Oasis  also offers up a wide selection of free meditations, 46 of them to be exact. Some of the titles include Flowing with Change, Relaxing into Healing, and Let It Be. You can listen to the meditations directly on the website by clicking on the links, or download them yourself by searching Meditation Oasis on iTunes.
